I have dedicated a lot of my professional life to the study and improvement of the clinical techniques and to the development of materials that have become increasingly similar to the aesthetic and mechanical characteristics of natural teeth. The latest generation of composite satisfies some of the main requisites of the dentist, being materials more suitable for conservative dentistry and easier than ceramic, with the added possibility of correcting and repairing the restoration and with low subsequent costs. Abrasion of latest generation composite surface is very close to the one of natural enamel and composite shows today an high biocompatibility with the neuromuscular system. I realized during the many years of working with colleagues who attended my courses both in Italy and abroad, how closely my theories aligned themselves with their requirements and expectations. The main requirement always revealed itself to be the need to have at one’s disposal, a standardized and repeatable method for the restoration of anterior and posterior teeth, which allowed a good predictability of the result, was simple and permitted everyone to raise the quality of every day aesthetic conservative dentistry. I have worked for twenty years to satisfy such a need, I have thus developed a method for the interpretation of the colour that substantially modifies the theories held up to now and considered valid, theories supported by dimensions and parameters that were considered insufficient and limiting even in the Thirties. The new theory of the five dimensions of colour is conveyed to the aesthetic restorations, thanks to a stratification technique that foresees the anatomical restoration of the tooth tissues. The anatomical or natural stratification technique, first published in 1995, foresees the use of a silicon matrix stent and considers for the first time the reproduction of the palatal enamel wall with translucent masses and the creation of the protein layer. This technique, improved during its ten year life spam, becoming simpler, more comprehensible and reliable today, has been adopted by a large number of dentists and represents teaching material in numerous universities in Europe and the United States of America. My clinical research and teaching activity has been supported by the researches lead in collaboration with excellent Italian researchers and by a German team of biologists, chemists, physicists and engineers . The clinical documentation and the iconographic material come with thanks to the help of my wife, Olga Klimovskaia, precious and irreplaceable partner in both life and work. This web site originated from the desire to offer to my yellow dentists and dental students alike, a reference point for the conservative dentistry, and to give to the patient useful information about the solution of problems concerning conservative aesthetic and functional teeth reconstruction.
